I bought this TV to replace an old, much smaller TV/VCR combo went the tubes on that old CRT finally gave way. A relative of mine has a Samsung, and has always advocated the brand as top notch technology in the television area.
SIZE
perfect for me, much larger than my old TV, yet not so large as to allow it to fit comfortably into my bed room and view from a distance.
COLORS
The colors are great. Well-balanced, bright, vibrant, and refined. I did some scouting at my local best buy, and the model was sitting right next to a Panasonic equivalent model. The Panasonic was comparitively much dimmer and the colors less crisp.
SOUND
fairly good, a little on the softer side. For me, you have to go up to 30-40% up the bar to get a pretty audible sound. The quality is good in terms of treble and bass and the balance between. I am unaware of the difference between TRUSURROUND and normal stereo.
